Listening to the criticism from Jose Mourinho to his players on Saturday night, you could not help but sound like a television analyst. He made a perfect breakdown of Manchester United`s performance against Brighton.
Sometimes the Portuguese may look hideous, but here his judgment was more controlled. By requiring more public character, desire and will from his players, the manager tried to get a reaction from them.
But Mourinho is just a manager, not a television analyst. His words would have the same influence if they were spoken outside the locked door of the dressing room.
It is not uncommon for coaches to point to individual performances (as Mourinho did with Nemanja Matice) to highlight the level that the rest of the group is required to achieve.
When you begin to publicly discuss the shortcomings of your players, it only leads to more tension in them. Some may have been alienated after these so generous praises by their mentor to Matice.
Mourinho has already lost dressing rooms in his career -;in Chelsea and Real Madrid. He knows he is walking on a very thin hair, but he is willing to do everything to provoke his alumni.
Trying to get a reaction from them is one thing, but to humiliate them -;quite another. I did not like Luke Shaw`s attitude. Mourinho must consider his players as his sons. How would he react if his own child was so ill-treated?
Since a Portuguese player has not played at the highest level, he just does not understand how you`re offending from a game analyzed by

With such behavior, Mourinho risks much to build a wall between the footballers and his staff.
