A late goal inspired Bordeaux in a terrifying moment
Bordeaux`s team ended their six-game series with no success in League One, recording a 3:2 dramatic victory in their home match from
livescore soccer against St. Etienne in a 16th round of the French championship. The match, however, will be remembered also by the seizure of Neven Subotic from the guests` team at the first goal of Bordeaux. The duel started very well for St. Etienne, who led in the 16th minute with Lois Dioni goal after a nice pass of Remy Cabela. Six guests later, however, suffered a double strike. After a very poor exit and boxing to their goalkeeper Stefan Rufie, the ball fell into Jimmy Brian, who sent her to the net for 1:1. However, when he jumped, Rufie shook his team mate Subotic`s head, who was left on the pitch. The defender, however, recovered, but was taken to a stretcher and taken to a hospital with a bloody head.
In the 56th minute, St. Etienne`s situation got worse as William Saliba played with his hand in his penalty area, forcing the referee to play a penalty and Francois Camano turned it into a goal. In the 67th, however, the goalkeeper of the Wahbi Hazri green restored the equation after adding a Kabel. At the last minute of regular time, the Gironde players came to the win with Pablo`s header after a corner kick.
With today`s success Bordeaux is firing 10th in the ranking with 21 points, and St. Etienne is on the 6th with 26 points.
